Golfing holidays in Spain. Spain has such a lot
to offer the independent traveller. It has a wealth of history, culture
and landscape that is well worth getting to know. From the green and lush
Costa Brava with the magnificent city of Barcelona at its centre, to the
arid, almost desert like countryside of Almeria, Spain has much to explore
and enjoy. And if a beach holiday is what you are really looking for, there
are plenty of wonderful beaches to choose from all along the coast of Spain.
From the Costa de la Luz, close to the border with Portugal, with its wide
expanses of golden sand, around to the Costa Brava, close to the border
with France, with its delightful little coves.
Spanish Golf Resorts
A longtime favorite of golfers from all over Europe, Spain's Costa del Sol
and Costa Blanca are home to one of the highest concentrations of top-class
golf courses to be found anywhere in the world.
Located in the region of Andalucia in southern Spain, the Costa del Sol
is often referred to as the Costa del Golf, offering more than sixty golf
courses within a small area. If linked together in a straight line, the
courses would stretch from one end of the Costa del Sol to the other, but
designed by famous names such as Nicklaus, Sevi Ballesteros and Olazabal,
the golf courses run from the beaches to the hills, through forests and
over lakes. Valderrama is among the many beautiful courses located along
this stretch of the Mediterranean coast , where the 1997 Ryder Cup Matches
were held, and San Roque golf course, the winter home of the European PGA.
The Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca are a melting pot of culture, golf and
entertainment. With flamenco dancing, bull fighting, tapas bars and lively,
fun-loving and friendly people, Spain has all the ingredients for a truly
memorable golf holiday, on and off the golf course. |

With the temperatures generally at least ten degrees warmer than in the UK, you can see and do so much. Take the opportunity to enjoy the water sports during the summer months available along most of the coast or go horse-riding, play golf or tennis, all available at most of the resorts we offer.
